APD Waitlist Services
Adults on the Agency for Persons with Disabilities waitlist qualify for a job coach. As an APD job coach we provide the following services:
- Pre-employment training (soft skills, job interest inventories, etc)
- Assistance with obtaining employment
- On-the-job training
Private Pay Services
Individualized Independent Living Skills Training:
- Hygiene
- Cooking
- Safety
- Household Cleaning
- Laundry
- Budgeting
- Time Management
Career Development and Job Coaching:
- Pre-employment training (soft skills, job interest inventories, etc)
- Assistance with obtaining employment
- On-the-job training
Social Skills Groups:
- Weekly leveled social skills groups
- Learn how to make friends
- Learn how to hold meaningful conversations
- Make lifelong friendships
Consultation:
- Disability agency services
- Adult day programs
- Recreational Opportunities
- Understanding your child’s IEP (ages 14 and up)
- Guardianship
We accept both: CDC+ and The Family Empowerment Scholarship.
Vocational Rehabilitation Services
Certified Business Technical Assistance Consulting (CBTAC):
CBTAC services are for Vocational Rehabilitation clients who wish to start their own business. Services may include, but are not limited to:
- Business concept development
- Identifying funding sources
- Financial projections
- Registering your business
- And more
Employment Network:
If you are a Vocational Rehabilitation client and you have found employment, your VR state agency may close your case 90 days after employment. If they do, you are eligible for support from an Employment Network. Here are a few examples of what we can assist you with:
- Getting job accommodations
- Communicating with your employer
- Staying in touch with Social Security
- Staying organized
- Reporting earnings
- Finding answers to your questions about how working can affect your benefits
